My background: I got my degree in dentistry from a foreign country four years ago. Then I came to USA for a graduate study. In this four years, I did not study anything related with dentistry. And now I'm almost forgot everything I learned on dentistry🙁

My goal is to take the NDBE 1 in late July.

My six-month plan to prepare for NDBE 1:

The first two month: Go over review book and decks once. I plan to spend two weeks on each section.

Third month: Go over old exams. Use the review book as reference.

Fourth month: Go over decks for the second time.

Fifth month: Do the old exams for the second time.

Sixth month: Study decks and old exams for the third time.

I would like to get your opinion on my plan. Is that realistic?

By the way, when is the latest time to take NBDE 1 if I want to apply for school in 2009? Is there any requirement on GPA from under and graduate study?

thank you very much and happy new year! 😍

It's a very achievable plan as a see it , but to go over every thing (review book and decks in 2 months) you need to invest a lot of hours daily, may be good 8-10 hours, do you work or are you going to be studying full time?

Sound like a good plan for me , i will almost do the same thing , as i already started to study one week ago and i plan to take my NBDE 1 by the end of June. But the thing for me, I am planning to finish a subject in the First aid then go over the same subject in the decks then after this go to the next one.

Good Luck

I think it is a good plan. And does it need a long time to study everyday?
May I ask a question? What book should be used to prepare the NBDE part1?
the First Aid? the Mosby's Review? or the dentEssentials? What the Decks?

Thank you & Good luck!
