ok. so i have been really frustrated and depressed for past 2 months not knowing what to do next.

My application was sent out to 13 schools on July 2nd and I finished with all the sencondaries in the beginning of aug. I have heard NOTHING(no interviews, emails, letters) from any schools, not even a single rejection letter.

I knew from the beginning that I wouldnt be getting into any dental school this cycle because of my low stat.
my gps(aadsas calculated) is 2.9(both science and total) and my dat is 19/19/21 (ts/aa/pa). I had good amounts of volunteer and extra curricular with shadowing experiences though.

I dont know how long i need to wait more to hear from dental schools so I have decided to think what I should do if i dont get into any dental school for this cycle.

Since I feel like I should improve my gpa, I have been researching postbac and master programs. so far, I have looked postbac programs at harvard (extend school) and temple. 1 year master program in oral science at BU and at Nova or Barry sound good. It is really hard to make a decision because I dont know which specific program would give me a high chance of getting into a dental school. what about master in public health? or getting a dental hygienist in local cc or should I just take my dat again and get really good score so I can go on dental mission for that year?

if there are other good programs or suggestions please let me know. Thank you in advance.

First of all, we're not even close to the end of the cycle yet!
Most interviews will be conducted during Oct, Nov, and Dec. So you still have 3 months in order to get an early interview. Even if you don't hear anything from any of the schools during this time, many schools continue to interview applicants between Jan-April.
So, there's still plenty of time, before you completely give up hope.

I suggest you call some of the schools and make sure that they have everything on file for you. Sometimes you mail out everything on time, but stuff gets lost, and the school never receives any of the material. Subsequently, they will hold back on reviewing your application, because you're file isn't complete. I actually had a similar experience with ASDOH. I believed I submitted everything on time, but the fact that I didn't hear anything from them worried me. So, I called them and they told me they haven't received my secondary yet. I assured them that I submitted my secondary in early June. After couple of minutes on hold, they told me that the "submit" button didn't function properly on the day I submitted my secondary. So, I thought I submitted everything, but they were still missing my secondary.
This is why it's a good idea to call them and make sure your file is complete.

Finally, it's always good to have a plan B, and it seems like you already got one. I think it's a good idea to apply for a Post Bac. program, because your GPA is low and you need to improve it.

Good Luck👍👍

I agree with the postbac program idea. D-schools want to make sure you can handle an intensive science curriculum. A strong GPA in an SMP program will demonstrate that. Dental hygiene or MPH will be a waste of time for that purpose.
