PLS HELP: what does a school's deadline actually mean?

hey guys, I haven't taken my DAT's yet while my app's been at schools since August. I know it's bad. But I want to take it in December. I just saw some schools I applied to have Dec 1st deadlines. Does that mean my app won't even be considered there? Please help SDN! thanks!

Call the schools. I heard that they wont even process your app. without your DAT score.

You should accept the fact that you gotta have steeler score in DAT to have you application considered at this point of cycle....

As far as deadline goes, it is the official deadline to submit the AADSAS application...again earlier the better. Some schools also have separate deadline to have all the materials in including DAT scores. You have to contact an individual school about it.

After cracking DAT in dec. Stay aggressive and confident and do well on interviews. Anything can happen. I know my cousin got accepted into a dental school a week before the beginning of the fall term classes even though he got rejection letter earlier. And this happened last year. But again, miracles dont happen everydays....

I have a 3.2 gpa, but the rest of my app is solid, except for the DAT. It sounds really sub-par when I write it out like that. I'm still hoping I have some chance. If not, then I'll be ok, but it would be awesome if it happened for me.

I'm thinking specifically about UMDNJ, Nova, Buffalo, LLU....

I also applied to NYU and Temple which have later deadlines.

My secondary applications were not complete unless my official DAT scores got there (And it took two weeks ). I was told that they do not consider my application when it is not complete. So be careful and take the DAT as soon as possible.

You already dropped a bunch of money on the AADSAS, just take the DAT and see what happens! If you have to reapply next year, you'll already have the DAT done, so that will be nice! You'll be ahead of the game for next year.

i think it was on michigan's site that it said the deadline is the latest day that you post a school on aadsas....
my apps are already out but i'm retaking DAT next week. i have everything else in, so i let the schools now i'll be faxing my scores in immediately...
