Today is Wednesday, December 3rd. Anybody want to place bets on the number of new threads started before the end of the year in regards to chances of podiatry now that medical/dental school chances are slim/none? There are already a few new ones in the past few days. So...8? 9? 15?

My guess is (5)

What do we win if we are closest?

I would guess 7. Lucky 7.

Although as a former dental guy, I think it could be okay, so long as they aren't idiots, just the guys that had a bad GPA and a good MCAT. (which means good test takers, which means they do better on standardized tests, such as the USMLE, which make us have parity)

podiatry is like all the seemingly ugly girls who never get asked to prom. that is, until all the hot girls are already taken. then the kids who cant find a date all want to fall back on the ugly girls for lack of other options, and so they can at least say they went to prom... but it just ends up costing them a ton of money and they hate their life and its a big waste of time for everyone.
then, there are the kids who have actually liked the ugly girls from day one . they can go and have a great time, and pay less. they find out the ugly girls arent ugly at all, just not considered by most to be super attractive on the outside. a fantastic life awaits marrying her- shes totally low maintenance, you will have a great lifestyle and you end up realizing shes worth a million bucks... or at least 150k a year... but only if you liked the girl for what she was and not what she looked like.

id say at least 5 more posts by the end of the year

Wow you're good, you should go into counseling, not podiatry...
Unfortunately, nowadays if you talk about marriage, people look at you funny and ask "why would you do THAT?" - how sad...
