F second year. I'm sick of 8 hours of lectures every day. What is the point? Nobody actually learns anything with this much pure lecture.
 
The Pokemon were still mourning over the loss of Snorlax. They knew he enjoyed sleeping, but they never expected that he would not wake up. What made this day even worse is that two more Pokemon disappeared. There was no one left that believed they were just getting lost. There were just too many of them gone already.

Slowly they looked around. They were getting suspicious of each other. Many of them stood beside their elemental partner. Random accusations were thrown out, some agreed to, some not. One Pokemon stuttered that she didn't even know her own element and how to find her partner because she didn't like standing by herself. Instead of being helped though, the others turned on her. There must be something wrong with her to not know. With that little tail of hers and the nice blue color, it was obvious to everyone else where she belonged. Something must be wrong for her not to know and that's when they decided that she needed to go. She was tackled by several of them, but one was the obvious leader. The one who threw out the accusation: Ksmi. It didn't take long for the little creature to lay on the ground, making its last movement.

I don't even know what to guess. I barely know ANY Pokemon names besides the ones that are in the TV shows (Pikachu, Meoth, Psyduck, and few others), and I don't know what elements they correspond to, so how do I even start?

A lot. 🙄 Would you think a tadpole-lookign thing is a "ground" creature? Because I don't. A water character has nothing to do with ground, my sign up group. Does YOUR character match?

To me, a tadpole = water.

And how I am supposed to randomly guess all water and ground related Pokemon back and forth with the mods without being a game guru is beyond me.

The water list (where I FINALLY effing found the thing) is THREE TIMES as long. And I only just found this - too late I guess.

And even more with ground as their secondary element. Seriously? We're supposed to guess between dozens and dozens of potentials with NO guidance? And somehow you brilliant people did it all in a few nights. Well I guess that makes me a Pokemon idiot. A little help instead of lynch would have been nice.


But whatever, I'm dead.

Really sorry I haven't been around guys. I'm catching up when I can but keep missing deadlines. My impending anatomy midterm has me a bit stressed out. Had a minor break down in lab today. I'll be a much better player early next week if I'm still alive at that time.

WTF--I am SO sorry! *hangs head* I fully accept any and all scolding for a decidedly stupid move. I just felt that neither SnS or Varz were wolves and...Sorry. So sorry.

Eh, s'ok. I wish I could talk strategy, but I can't anymore. Hopefully my lynch will serve a purpose.

I've been prepping for a conference and didn't have the time to delve into Pokemon lore/names too much, and had been confused from the start with the names, elements, and weird "TM" thingies.

As an aside....I HATED anatomy in vet school. I mean hated. I almost failed my second semester of it.

Now I'm an anatomic pathology resident :laugh:

Anatomy is rote memorization; you'll get through it and, in your later classes when you get to APPLY what you learned, it will make SO much more sense 🙂

How does anatomy work in vet school? Do you do dissections on more than one kind of animal, or do you focus on one animal and just discuss the differences of other animals in lectures?

Anatomy in med school is torturing me. I don't think I could make it through vet school anatomy...

Our GEP class at Edinburgh didn't dissect anything (except the rabbit). We didn't have time.. We learned mostly off the dog, differences between dog and cat in lecture, then the bovine fore/hind limb (difference from equine limbs in lecture).. then we learned about bird, reptile and rabbit anatomy in class (rabbit we did dissection on). That was all in 5 weeks.

It kinda depends on the school. We dissect the dog for fall semester, and have a few optional labs for a quick cat comparison.

In the spring, we get a horse, goat, sheep, and pig to work with.

Being tortured on the LONG bus home after a generally sucky day and find WTF has been lynched. Bugger!
 
And as a total aside, my bus is currently heading through the outskirts of Univeristy City. *waves towards the PennWees* :hello:

not sure how y'all ended up lynching WTF. I was just thinking to myself that she wasn't acting like her normal wolfish self.

Although after gross pathology lab today, not sure I would have wanted her alive anyway. I am so tired of looking at chunks of meat that are meaningless to me and guessing morphological diagnosis. The only thing worse is looking at histology and guessing what is going on.

I love pathology except for all the parts that are about what pathologists actually do. I am so sad. :meanie:

1) You could have asked for help, WTF.

2) You could have asked the mods for clarification.

3) You could have asked your element mates for clarification.

You may have seen certain patterns that make the list of 600+ Pokemon a hell of a lot less daunting.

Don't hate the game, hate the players.

I'm a little sensitive too that I got "lost" in a game that is actually related to my fandom. Missed out on HP 🙁
But I'm not swearing and ragging on the game. Just the wolves. 😛

I didn't sign up for Doctor Who because I don't watch it. The Hunger Games was confusing enough for me... but made me want to read the book!

Under more normal circumstances I would agree with you given that over 2500 of them pass by my apartment weekly and a majority of them stop right outside my bedroom window. Thank you blackout curtains! But, on the days I miss the train & don't want to wait an hour for another the buses are my savior.

Now, as for our little game here, does anyone have anything to go on? The only things I'm finding 'weird' are the bicycle and the hat that have been mentioned. Are these life saving items? Perhaps allow escape or offer protection when in the 'right' hands? Thoughts??

I WAS asking for help when I came out on the forum and admitted I wasn't sure what was going on. I figure it was better to come out here and ask for clarification than to bother to mods, who had already mentioned how many hundreds of PMs they had. I had figured up until now that I was some sort of ground Pokemon, since I was in the ground group. Then after a few nights when everyone started talking about finding their mates, I wasn't so sure anymore. I had initially thought my job was to figure out the Pokemon ID of the other person in my element group (swingnsave), and after a while began to worry it was not that, but finding someone else completely. That's when I came out and expressed my confusion

How was I supposed to see "certain patterns"? WTF? How am I supposed to know what Pokemon are "well known" and which aren't?

I'm not mad at the game. I'm mad that when I came forward with my confusion on the forum and offering myself up for som ehelp, I got lynched.

I was specifically ASKED by PM to join. I didn't realize such an extensive knowledge of Pokemon names would be needed. 🙄 Next time I'll make sure to join only the games whose themes I have lots of experience with.
