Ummm. Not going to rng. Sort of against my principles. Anyone have any legit leads?

I know that there are at least three protection items out there. Not sure the specifics of how they are different or what specific ways they protect. Only that they exist.

Also it looks like wolves = trainers. But thats an educated guess based on conext clues. It may be more complex than that.

I really thought that was a pretty lame wolf move. I'd be feeling like a total asshat if I had pulled it.
 
Finally caught up on everything...can't believe the wolves took out Lissa first again. 🙁 As far as objects go, I had something called The Awakening N1, but lost it. It can be used to unsilence (heal) a player.

Going to wait for a bit to cast my vote to see if something better comes out than RNG.

I'm guessing Team Rocket is at least one of the wovles, unless the team was broken down into Jessie, James, Meowth, and maybe Wobbuffet. I can't imagine a Pokemon game without them as villians...

That's one of my things when I'm a wolf. I really don't like killing the senior players/someone that always gets killed early the first night. It's just such a dick move.

I'll happily take out a 'senior' player on the first night, but unless I had a really good reason (like I somehow knew they were a villager seer) I wouldn't randomly take out anyone that had gotten killed in the first night or two of the last game. That's just cruel.

I had an item last night that could "Find" lost Pokemon. So people can be brought back. I have since lost it 🙁

I have no info either so ima hold off on a lynch vote ATM.

The only reason I could think of for the wolves to kill Lissa was because she had correctly guessed her matched pokemon and presumable won a "surprise." The only one who could possibly know what that surprise was is the only person she could PM--FFM. It's not much to go on, but I definitely got killed off by the wolves in my first game for conversations that went on during group PMs. Of course it's possible that the wolves did this to make me want to lynch FFM.

If the wolves are people and not pokemon (which is what I was originally thinking based on the initial write up), it makes sense that they won't have a pokemon "match" to guess. I would think they would try to cover this up by announcing that their non-existent guess was either a success or a fail. So I'm definitely keeping my eye on those people (apologies if my suspicions fall on other villagers!)

Looks like my paranoid conspiracy theories are back. I'll try to keep them to a minimum.

I only PMed back and forth with Lissa once, and that was prior to her announcing on the game thread she guessed right. We are/were both busy yesterday, so I didn't get a chance to ask what the surprise was.

I had a Map the first day which I presume allows you to move to a different group. Kinda wishing I would have used it. Didn't want to strand Lissa tho. I do not have it anymore.

It's definitely possible that Lissa was targeted for having the "surprise" without the wolves knowing exactly what the surprise is.
 
Maybe I'm misreading this all. So ignore me if so. But when you guess your partner pokemon correctly the pm you get is titled "surprise". So I don't make much of her surprise. I think its just a reference to the pm title. Not some big secret that lissa discovered.
 
My first game back and they take out Lissa in the first go round! 😡 **shakes angry fist towards wolf pack**

The only info I can provide at this time is that I had a small egg that, according to the mods, was not the 'hatching' variety. Naturally, I lost it last night; so I have no idea what it could have done (I suspected perhaps a weapon of sorts but dunno).
 
So, this mod is tired and lazy and has two tests tomorrow. A couple people have been granted access to their type-partners but I just haven't sent out a PM. You know who you are. Feel free to PM them without waiting for the official PM.

Did anyone else get a pm titled "surprise?" 'Cause I didn't, and I did correctly guess the other Pokemon of my element. I just don't understand why we think Lissa had a "surprise." Someone fill me in please....😕

My first full day off in over a week and here I sit glued to my laptop. I have a problem...

Anyway, I haven't heard a peep from sheeps - fired off a PM not too long ago. Hopefully I'll hear something soon!

Almost forgot - still haven't guess correctly. Thus, know nothing of this 'surprise' message.

Maybe you didn't get the "surprise" PM because you were the guesser, and the person whose role you guessed does get a PM with that title?
 
If Dandi's theory is correct (I mentioned this to her), FFM is a target. With there being only 2 people in each group, it would be so easy for him to lie. If he had sent multiple PMs to a group, a group member would be able to vouch for his activity.

Just throwing it out there. Sorry if you're innocent.

If wolves are trainers, there have to be an even number and some type(s) have to not be represented in roles. This doesn't actually tell us anything new, but that's what I'm thinking about.

I'm here. Just had an early and busy day at work and haven't gotten to a computer til now. I have no cool abilities, but I do know of two items - the Pokegears which two people have at once and those two people can PM while they have them, and a Pokemon Egg but I have no clue what it does.

Eh. I see the logic behind suspecting FFM (basically, for the wolves to target Lissa, she must have told somebody something; she could only talk to FFM; therefore FFM must be a wolf), but I'm not buying it for a few reasons.

1) FFM isn't that dumb and would know he would be suspect. And if Lissa was just a normal villager (as it appears), there would be no hurry to take her out.

2) FFM wasn't the only person Lissa could talk to. She apparently (if I'm reading other people's posts correctly - I haven't gone back to review Lissa's actual posts) connected with her opposing number, which seems to allow you to PM (per the mod recent post). So you have to consider that her opposing number might be the wolf, instead.

My hunch is that if Lissa said she had guessed correctly (which people seem to be saying?), then the wolves said "let's take her out in case the 'surprise' for guessing correctly is something very bad for us."

I'm not following DocE's conclusion that the wolves are trainers. I can't decide if that's because his conclusion makes no sense, or if it's because I just don't know the pokemon universe.

Hi. Checking in during lunch and then back to my cave..

So my read of the mods post (and I could be wrong) seems to indicate that Lissarae is not really dead. She is just missing right? And this item, whoever has it now, would seem to be a way to bring her back.

I say USE it.... and bring the poor girl back! 😀

I had an item last night, the pokedex. It is investigatory. I didn't find a wolf (I don't think). and I lost it of course.

Also, I got one of those "surprise" PMs, and I was not the one who guessed whatever it was we were supposed to guess (I admit I haven't read the first couple of pages yet 😳).

Mea culpa! Mea culpa! I remembered the NO EDIT rule after I hit the darn button. So very sorry. I just wanted to ensure that everyone knew I didn't get a 'surprise' email. I promise there were no 'real' edits just the addition. My bad. However, if it's worthy of punishment, I totally understand. My bad. 😳

I was under the impression that understanding the game mechanics is better for everyone. It seems silly to me to say that you know you were attacked if you don't want to say why those attacks didn't affect you. If it were me and I wasn't going to say "I had such and such an item that protected me," I wouldn't mention it in the first place. But maybe that's just me.

And yeah, in retrospect it was probably a stupid question. That's what I get for throwing off a reply in 2 seconds in a no-edit zone.

This makes sense to me. unlynch ffm for now.

I still (for the most part) think that the wolves went after Lissa first because she guessed her pokemon match correctly. Even if there is no great "surprise," I don't see how the wolves could have known about that during night 1. I can't think of any other reason to killer her off first when she died so early in the last game.

I'm not positive about the wolves being trainer/people, but the initial write up made me think so because it talked about how the pokemon ran away from their trainers to live freely (and I figured the trainers just want to get us back?). That being said, if the wolves are really trainers/people, then whoever lissa (potentially) connected with and could PM couldn't be a wolf, they would have to be a pokemon. Of course, if the wolves are pokemon too than none of that matters.

'game mechanics' are important, I agree. I wanted to 'get out there' that there were some attacks last night that failed and that I'm a target (which is not a surprise considering I'm leader). However I don't think that revealing specifics of what I was told about why the attacks didn't work (it wasn't an elemental reason, that I will let you all know) is a good idea at this stage. The only people who will benefit from knowing that are the wolves.
