Just curious to see how many reapplicants had enough stamina to reapply immediately and how many waited a year, or two? In these cases, which group had a higher success rate of gaining admission?
This would be very helpful information to all of us who are knee deep in this dilemma.
Thanks for participating!!!

great topic!! This will be very helpful for me since I'm repplying for the second time!

JZZZZZs,

Great idea for a poll! I've decided to reapply right away. Just requested my transcripts today. Going to improve on my PS & plan to submit next week.

At first, b/c I've heard so much advice @ waiting 1 year in between, I was leaning toward that. But after discussing it w/ my b/f, I've decided to go ahead now b/c of our age.

I'm a non-trad app, so there's not a lot I can add to my app. I'm planning to start up another volunteer activity. Hoping that applying early this year w/o the aug disadvantage will give me a better chance @ east coast schools.

nefertari,
Although there's only a small survey group so far, it's slanting favorably towards immediately reapplying. With that said, I'm so not looking forward to rewriting my PS. 😛
I'm glad you came to a decision. Sometimes that can take so much out of a person. Good luck with your application. I'm sure I'll be asking you for advice again very soon. 🙂

Even though I voted on this poll I caution everyone to interpret anything from it.

I strongly encourage everyone to asses their OWN situation before reapplying to realistically determine their chances. I'd recommend that someone reapply only if they have improved their application to make it qualified for medical school(or if they were qualified the year before but submitted really late).

UCLAMAN,
Thanks for voting and for posting this disclaimer.
This is a very good point. Everyone, please objectively evaluate your own applications before deciding on what to do.
