Does anyone know if polymyositis with clinical muscle weakness (distal and proximal) is a relative or absolute contraindication to using succynlcholine?

More of a relative one. It's prudent to avoid it in inflammatory myopathies.

Not an absolute contraindication but definitely not a great idea! these patient could have a elevated CPK and hyperkalemia and Sux can exacerbate both.
