Bernie has been around for decades, people like him a lot more than Pelosi.
The Squad was elected all the way back in 2018.
They're still around but its not like they've grown in number, lol. DSA doesn't have many wins to their name among currently elected officials.

The polarization in the USA is increasing as more politicians move far left and far right to win their primary battles. Sure the moderates exist in the purple areas of the country but as both sides continue the gerry-mandering the polarization will increase not decrease.
How long until a DSA member wins the White House? I give it 2 more Presidential cycles before an AOC type wins the White House. I wonder how many of you will be happy when the Socialists come for you? In order to fund the socialist agenda the money has to come from the people like you all to pay for it. This will mean a large increase in taxes across the board in all areas. A Scotus made up of 13 mostly liberal justices will also no longer protect the freedoms some of us enjoy like the Second Amendment.

The scrapping of the Filibuster and packing the Court (SCOTUS) are both terrible ideas which will damage this country severely. As each party gains control of power the laws will shift dramatically and the Court will be continually packed (13 will become 17 then 21).

1. Most of us itemized deductions so the increase standard deductions barely moved the needle
2. Most of us have homes/state income taxes /property taxes higher than the. 10k salt limit actually hurt us docs. Even 40k salt tax barely moves the needle as the income cap is 500k AGI. Most anesthesiologists who barely walk can make 500k These days.
3. Many docs pay alimony and could deduct alimony. With alimony no longer deductible. It hurts the the higher income doc who can’t deduct at the higher tax bracket.
4, section 199a 20% across the board global deduction doesn’t apply to doctors.
I can go on. I don’t see much tax savings from 2017 or even the 2025 tax bill

History is an important subject in school. Societies that develop extreme levels of wealth disparity and consolidation of wealth and power among the very few necessarily go through periods of upheaval…often violent. We have an administration that shows blatant disregard for rule of law as it continues to steal from the poor to give to the rich. The grift and corruption are at pretty high levels and are probably matching other civilizations who entered periods of massive revolution and upheaval. That tactic to use xenophobia and anti-semitism as cover for the corruption will only contribute to the severity and possible violence of the coming upheaval. We are entering a dystopian phase of American civilization. Zohran Mamdani promising free bus rides and cheap groceries is the least of the problem. I recognized the passing of the Big Beautiful Bill did nothing to help the poor or middle class. The Bill increased the deficit without addressing the problems this nation faces today. Did I benefit from this Bill personally? Yes. Do I think this Bill should have become law? No. But do I agree with you that Mamdani is the solution to our problems? No. My concern is that the next Democrat Presidential nominee will be too far left like Newsom or AOC instead of Shapiro/Beshear who would represent mainstream America much better. I believe the election of Mamdani will push the Dem Party much too far to the left making the nomination of a moderate Dem more unlikely.

He’s sympathized greatly with the plight of the Palestinian people because they’ve faced genocide at the hands of Israel. That is the view of many international societies, all of which you can conveniently ignore.
