For information to be provided for the professional experience,
in the previous year it used to say "position title" but in this year's application
it is listed as "supervisor position title" for all shadowing, community service,
research, and work experiences.
I am not sure whether it actually asks for the position title held by the supervisor
or it is an error from indicating "position title".
In the previous year "position title" asked for the position title that the applicant
held during experience, and I confirmed this by the instruction booklet released
by AADSAS in 2014 and the comment provided by AADSAS on its Facebook page.
In this year's application it says "supervisor position title" in the same space.
This did not seem right to me because the admission office would be interested about
the position that the applicant had in work, not the position of the manager and supervisor.
In case of shadowing the supervisor would be dentist. For research, professors most likely.
Volunteer experience may not even have a supervisor.
For working experience, often it would be manager regardless of what work applicant did.
I checked application pdf that gets submitted to admission offices, and it appears as
"position title" unlike the webview of the application on portal.aadsasweb.org,
and it appears to indicate the position of the applicant.
I checked several threads in the forum here, and most people said that it is an error and told to provide
the position held by the applicant.
To confirm whether "supervisor position title" is an error or it actually asks for what it says,
I made a phone call to the customer service.
The person who answered the call said that it does ask for supervisor position title
unlike the last year, and said that she did not get notified this to be an error.
I am very confused now.
It seems inappropriate to put the position of the supervisor and omit the position of myself.
So please tell me your opinion whether it should be position title of the supervisor or of applicant.
