Could I work as a pharmacist in France or Switzerland if I know the language? Or maybe the UK or Canada? Has anybody known a US pharmacist who has practiced abroad? Foreign pharmacists and doctors seem to be coming here all the time so why couldn't it be the other way around. Do pharmacists in other countries get paid a lot less? I have seen and thought about pharmacy jobs posted for the UN and Medecins Sans Frontieres.

I've worked abroad, but it was a three month internship during undergrad. If it had been longer than three months, I would have needed a visa.

You could work for a Big Pharma company. A French company would probably be easiest, while a Swiss would be a little harder, because they have 4 different official languages in Switzerland- French, German, Italian, and Romansh(?). You might need to know German or Italian if you want to work outside of a French area.

I've thought about working for Bayer or Bristol-Myers Squibb.
