Possibly not completing distinction track on ERAS

I have completed most of the requirements for one of the distinction tracks at my school but in the end may have trouble finishing them all. However I put it down on ERAS and my participating in it may also be in my deans letter. Should I just push through and try and finish it or how bad would it be to not complete it?
