Hey guys,

Long time post-reader, first time poster. Woohoo. Ok, here's my question:
I submitted my AMCAS app in late June while I was taking some summer school classes. Classes are over now and I'd like to send the schools that sent me secondaries my new grades for the summer. How should I go about doing this? Should I attach a photocopy of my updated transcript along with my secondaries? Should I have the school send the transcript to each individual school? Or will they not care about my updated transcript at all? Any help would be majorly appreciated!

i'm in the same boat....and i have no idea....

does anyone else know???

thanks!

Contact each of the schools that you would like to send updated grades and transcripts to individually to find out there preferences. Some will accept a new transcript (prior to interviews), some will only go by AMCAS since all of that information has been "verified" by AMCAS.

Is it a lot of work to contact each school individually? You bet. But that's the only option you have.

most of the schools won't accept a new transcripts before you get an interview (I called most of the schools i applied to), you can send an update letter, but they will just "glance over" it as it is not verified. Plus two or three classes over the summer won't improve GPA much...
