Ok guys, heres a good question. I'm sure everyone has a back up plan just in case they might not get in to medschool. If you had to choose between a post bac program that doesnt offer you a masters degreee or a master's program outright, what would you do? I'm interesed in hearing what you all have to say!

Most postbac programs are for students who were not science majors and who have none or very few of the science admission requirements. They do not lead to any further degreee; no further degree is necessary.

For former biology and chemistry majors, an MA/MS grad program is suitable. If there is a choice of a research/non-research degree, the better choice is usually non-research. The aim is to improve course grades which research has no bearing on. If it is possible to take grad courses without leading to a degree that is also suitable.
Remember, it is the improvement of the science grades that is the goal, not earn ing another degree.
