Ok so i have now finished my first quarter of post bac work at midwestern, and I ended up getting a B in my physiology class. I was quite surprised to see how difficult the class was, and after not performing well on the first test, i was able to improve my test scores each time...but now im worried that this B is really going to hurt me in the application process. I was an alternate for CCOM last year, and decided that I should prove my ability by taking classes at the same level...how is this going to affect my application, I was wondering if anyone who has done post-bac work at the graduate level could give me some advice. Like i said ive been in classes this quarter with pharm students as well as PA and PT students...any words would help at this point!!!
Thanks in advance

Since you were on the alternate list last year, did you ask CCOM what you could do to stengthen you application for this year?

If taking classes was what they recommended, and you are following through with their recommendation to improve your application, then I really don't think that this will hurt your file. You didn't fail the course or even get a C. Plus, at least you're showing your continued interest by taking classes at their school

Good luck!

doing masters instead of post-bacc and am in. Post-bacc is worthless in my opinion because you just get another year or two of schooling and nothign to show (for those who say it's to up your undergrad GPA, my friend in the master's program was jsut accepted to med school with a 2.9 GPA), whereas for a master's you have something albeit a little piece of paper.
