I guess the cons would be like "doing something unnecessary" or "wasting time". Is it frowned upon if one my goals of doing a post-bacc is just to boost my GPA?
Why would you not do it? You have not taken the MCAT yet and it doesn't seem like you have started studying for it. If you do postbac classes in the spring you will be ready to apply next cycle.
Also, are you sure you calculated your GPA right? With only 4 classes it will improve your GPA by 0.15?

Yes you are correct. No replacement. If you got at least a C (not a C-) in a prereq, the best bet is to ace upper division science courses.Thank you for all this advice. Seems like I should do this post-bacc
I was thinking I would retake the classes I got C's in and my new grades would replace those in my GPA. That's not how it works though. It also seems like I shouldn't be retaking classes, but taking new upper-div science classes?
