post doc & licensed?

Can you complete a postdoc at the same time as being a licensed psychologist? I ask because I'm looking at going through another state to get licensed so that I can get the EPPP out of the way and not have to worry about part 2 later. But, I've already accepted a post-doc that starts soon. Does that void the post doc hours?

Shouldn't be a problem but confirm with your site. Why do you need the hours? ABPP?

As far as I know it’s not a problem. Some postdocs require you get licensed during your training. I’m currently licensed in a state where I accepted a staff position for after postdoc but am finishing up my postdoc in another state. Every job interview you do for your first job after postdoc will likely ask you about your progress with getting licensed.

ok thanks! & not sure of where I might move so I wanted to do a postdoc just in case plus get some extra training in.
