Does anyone know if they look back at your complete file (ps, supplemental, gpa, etc) after your interview to determine acceptance/rejection? During our interview we were not asked anything from our application and we were told to mention things outside of what is in our application.

Yes the admission committee looks at ur whole app and how you did at ur interview

I dont think I did well at interview. It is really hard to learn a skill that is not taught in school.

from what i have been told at my interviews, their final decision is based on your profile as a whole. Different schools will weigh the interview differently, but it will not be the only deciding factor.

However, many schools conduct a blind interview, where the interviewers have no access to your application and only know the most basic information about you. This way, they are not coming into the interview with a bias.

Yes, and interviews are not the only thing weighted, although they do play a significant role in acceptance dependent upon the school. Most of the time however, GPA and pcat scores are just as if not more weighted than the interview. The interview is just to really take a look to make sure you communication skills are good enough to become a practicing pharmacist or be successful in the curriculum probably first and foremost.

Thanks for the responses you guys. It made me feel a lot better. I know for certain that my application is strong, however the interview was stressful.

I definitely agree with you--interview skills are not taught in school, at least not as a required class. The school I am attending in the fall was the school I thought I had the worst interview at. On the other hand, some of the other schools where I thought I had better interviews did not accept me. If I were you, I would try to not worry about it now. You've done all you can!

I think they have mock interviews at colleges if you research the right place.
