Is it better to send a card thank you or an email to interviewers? Also, does anyone have a good form letter for this? Much appreciated 🙂
Dr. Interviewer,
Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to interview me yesterday. I enjoyed our conversation and your insight into the medical profession. I left feeling very excited about XYZ Medicine and my fit with this school. Again, thank you.
Sincerely,
Captain Fantastic
a form letter? seriously?
if you're genuinely thankful, you shouldn't need a form letter, and if you're not, stop being so insincere.
Reminds me of University of Michigan. They log everything into their online database. So cool.I personally didn't think sending thank you letters would have an effect on my acceptance, but I mailed a couple out, because I enjoyed my interviewers. This particular med school actually updated my status page adding a checked off "Thank you note", to the other materials section.
So maybe they really do matter?
"please accept me" sounds more than a little cheesy and insincere to me.Here's my form:
Dr Whoever:
It was a pleasure meeting with you and seeing your school. I enjoyed ____ about ___ School of Medicine. Please accept me.
Thanks,
armybound
I wasn't serious about that part."please accept me" sounds more than a little cheesy and insincere to me.

I have been told by a member of an AdCom that email is best because not only will it get to your interviewer faster (in case you go to committee soon after your interview), but they are more likely to read it.
I recently interview at a top tier school and the interviewer specifically said not to send thank you notes. Don't know if it applies to all schools.
