Hey guys, if anyone has some idea about this, some input would be greatly appreciated.
I was looking at the match results recently and began wondering whether there will be difference among those who completed the ACGME residencies vs. AOA residencies in the job market. I understand that with the new rule, AOA residents cannot enter ACGME fellowships, but will there be practicing limitations due to one completing an AOA residency vs ACGME residency?

:beat: no.

Thanks. So I guess once license is obtained and you have board certification, it does not matter. Btw, I was asking about both sides, not "are DOs limited in practicing rights." 🙂

you may have some discrimination from an individual but not in general. An example would be a certain orthopedic group may not take DO graduates, but it is only because they are douches, not because you are limited in any way.

👍 Love your post

Keep in mind it is against the law in every state for a health facility to differentiate between MDs and DOs.
