LUCPM, how in the world did you get rejected with those stats? Was there a problem with your LOR or something?

I don't know. Maybe bad writing score? I even checked my secondary essay to make sure I didn't accidentally paste a wrong school name when I recycled the essay. That was after I received 6 interview invites, so it made me wonder too. Randomness of process, I guess.

Would you guys mind sharing when you became complete and when you received the post-secondary rejection? I feel as if that information would be helpful to others who have completed their secondaries.

I technically wasn't rejected from them, but I never heard a word after I submitted my secondary at the end of June. I finally withdrew my application.
3.8/30 is awesome!

It didn't really bother me but I also withdrew my application from all those 'silent' schools after getting my second acceptance. On an unrelated note, what made you switch from dentistry to medicine?
 
The scope of practice that I would be able to do as a physician. I'm more interested in primary care and general health of patients as opposed to oral health. I also met a DO who encouraged me to apply and I did!

My Mcat wasn't the greatest, but I thought working in healthcare for 10 years would help. It did for some schools, but it didn't for others. Just from reading SDN, I can tell now which schools focus on MCAT and others which Focus on GPA more. I was lucky to find the school which appreciated what I have to offer and I think thats the key to gaining admissions.

Because parental pressure can only go so far. :laugh:

I'm glad my parents are awesome and never pressured me into anything. I've become a better person because of it. Even if they wanted to... science and medicine are what I love and want to go into anyway.

Oh parents... 🙄

lol my parents DIDN'T want me to do it. the whole "no one wants to marry a dr" thing. But clearly it was a fail, because here I am...haha I don't know why desis think it's such a glamorous profession: you stick your finger up people's butts and get splashed with bodily fluids on a daily basis.

I wonder why lecom is rejecting some of those applicants ..those stats look pretty good to me ..kind of scary

If they would have applied in June they would have been interviewed guaranteed. In my case I'm 99% sure its because I'm international.
 
3.6/30 - Lecom E , but accepted at Lecom B, Nova, AZCOM and CCOM its such a random process.
