Mount Sinai sure did have a lot of people staying in their residency programs. They also had 12 super competative matches out of 109. Lot's of semi-competative, but I didn't count that (Anes, ER, and Radio)

I have never heard of rad onc being one of the most competative residencies. I've always heard:

1. Derm

2a-fish: Oto, Ophtho, Ortho, Nuerosurg, plastics

3: Radiology (both kinds), Anes, EM

uro and rad onc are much more competitive to match into compared to gas and em. good salary, good lifestyle, not many spots.

Anyone have Jefferson Medical College's match list? I just got accepted into the Penn State Premedical-Medical Program in cooperation with Jefferson Medical College  and heard that Jefferson graduates get residencies across the board and across the nation. I can't find any lists on their website, so I came here. Anyone have any information at all? Even past information would be helpful.

Statistically RadOnc had a higher percent unmatched than Derm (first time last year, and in RadOnc this year I've heard the applicant pool was better (compared to last) and the unmatched rate will be just as high). I would argue with anyone that it is more competitive than any of the above mentioned except Plastics. If you need any proof look at the number of MD-PhDs in the field.

Here are some of the highlights MSSM's 2004 match. I think the results are pretty strong for a small med school (just over 100 per class). There were about 20 that stayed at MSSM that I didn't list, but I consider those prime matches, too. Medicine is always solid here, but over all I think Sinai matched people in the top places in pretty every specialty that students applied in.

I can't find any lists on their website, so I came here. Anyone have any information at all? Even past information would be helpful.

i have a paper copy, it is not posted online..i'll type the highlights when i have time.

Overall, I'd say that most people in my class were happy with what they got. We had a few who didn't match into derm, and a few who are taking the year off for whatever reason, but I think that most people ended up in their top 3. For some reason, we have a lot of people going to U Penn this year, maybe close to the number that are staying at Maryland.
