After a little research and browsing through threads in this forum I've come to the conclusion that while there are essentially no postbaccalaureates with official, guaranteed linkages to allopathic medical schools designed for those with less than stellar undergrad GPA's/MCATs, there are a few which offer either conditional or unofficial linkages based on performance within the programs, which are the Georgetown SMP, Boston University MA in Medical Sciences, Drexel University IMS, University of Connecticut Post-Bacc, and the Rosalind Franklin AP program...does anyone know of any other major ones I might have overlooked?

I know there are others tailored to those who want to enhance their records (i.e. Penn Special Science) but I haven't read anything about linkages or even interview opportunities associated with their medical schools.

I disagree -a little- i think. I think Ros Frank and Eastern Virginia Medical School, Wake Forest, Creighton U are the only programs with strong linkages. I'm not aware that Georgetown, BU, Drexel, let in more than a couple students from their rather large 'postbacc\Masters\certificate' class sizes. Could you elaborate on the UCONN program since I'm from CT and don't know nothing about it 😕 😳 )????!!!

Now I'm confused...haven't heard anything about Wake Forest and Creighton...any website links you could send me? Here's the website for the UConn program:
http://medicine.uchc.edu/departments/studentservices/admissions/postbac/index.shtml

I would assume you'd be interested in Program B...if you go to the FAQ section they talk a little bit about linkage to the med school contingent on some minimum requirements.

Wake Forest program: http://www1.wfubmc.edu/MDProgram/St...ost+Graduate+Students/Post+Bac.Premedical.htm

FYI, the minimum GPA to apply is going up to a 2.7 for next year.

Creighton:

Both are pretty good deals. You essentially attend school for free. You've got to cover living expenses, but the Creighton program will give you $40 for every day you're in the program. The Creighton program also offers the guarantee of at least a 1/2-tuition scholarship to their med school ($10K) to all those who successfully complete the post-bac program. WF doesn't offer a scholarship, but you are guaranteed admittance into the med school the following year upon successful completion.

Those programs are awesome jeepgirl...if you're an underrepresented minority. They do not, however, help out the grossly overrepresented minority populations (I, for example  ).

Anyone know the statistics for the UMNDJ postbacs getting into the NJ med school?
