My sophomore year in college, one of my old friends took my USB drive with all of my class materials since he knew I had taken a class he was previously in. He ended up using my work since he was pressed for time, submitted, and I was contacted several weeks later about potential involvement for plagiarism. I was called in, spoke with a school official, and after describing my activity in this case, I was found not guilty. The case was "thrown out", as in nothing was placed on my academic record -- not even a verbal or written warning. I have a letter saying I was found not guilty in the case from the time. Additionally, as I applied to schools last month, I called the office ahead of time to see if any charges were found under my name. After searching, they said "there is no disciplinary history for this student." Since I was not found to have violated anything, I submitted AADSAS without mentioning this case, as the school told me I wasn't found to have done anything wrong and I didn't want to bring any negative light to my application if I didn't have to. However, after reading some stories on here just to see, I have started to second guess myself, as I don't want a potential acceptance rescinded or for schools to think I am being unethical. Is there any way schools can find out about this or somehow jeopardize my potential acceptance into dental school? Any advice is greatly appreciated, as I'm starting to get a little paranoid. Thanks!
