I was wondering if anyone know where I could get free practice MCAT tests!! I found one in AAMC and one from Princeton review. But I was wondering if there is anymore free exams out there some where??

Let me know please 🙂

Thanks 🙂

I think kaplan and gs also have a free one. I think that's about it.

I just want to say that this is completely legit. Please send your credit card and social security info to this bloke in Tanzania. Nothing but good things can happen from there.

(P.S. - it will make you thicker. THICKER.)

Edit: Please do not quote spambots.

I'd send it, but all of my funds are currently tied up helping a long lost relative and good friend transfer millions of unclaimed inheritance from an account in Sierra Leone.

But if my winnings from the Australlian Lotto arrive soon, you know where I'll be spending all that money! :highfive: :soexcited:

I'm guessing dental didn't go too well. sorry to hear that. make sure you prep well and get the proper material. I would spend the money on FL'. Get all the aamc's and if need more, go for BR (the best ones that you can buy w/o class). Do aamc's last and close to the test date though (that includes saving the free one if you haven't already used it yet).

Here is where I disagree a little bit.

I think it's a good idea to take AAMC 3 and 4 and possibly even 5 early in the timeline.

Why? Because these tests are not as representative as the newer mcat as the later exams BUT they still help you get a feel for the 'real deal' and see how your study methods are working.

I think that accessory tests such as tpr's, tbr's, gs', kap's, etc play a good role in supplementary practice, but you should take atleast 1 test a week in the beginning and then ramp it up.

If you're doing 2 months of content review and 1 month of practice, then I think that AAMC 3 and 4 should be done in that time period of content review with AAMC 3 done about 3 weeks into studying and AAMC 4 done about 7 weeks into studying.

The other exams should be taken during weeks when these aren't. You're still left with 6 aamc's in a 4 week period in addition to any other passages/practice exams you haven't done.

Just my thoughts...

Great thoughts ridethecliche. At Kaplan we definitely recommend using the practice tests to gauge your progress and you're 100% correct that the older AAMC exams are not indicative of the MCAT today. You're also right that the content practice is important since we say that the MCAT tests 1) Content 2) Critical Thinking 3) Confidence and 4) Computer-Based Testing familiarity. Taking practice tests is the only way to cover all 4 areas.

Just an FYI too, but you can always take a free Kaplan practice test right away from your own computer. Just go to http://www.kaptest.com/MCAT/Explore-the-MCAT/Anatomy-of-the-MCAT/mcat-practice-test.html and follow the instructions for a test that you can take and get a full score report on. On kaplanmcat.com you'll also find info on the MCAT as well as tips for prepping for it.

Hope this helps! 😀
