You cannot work as an independent dentist with an american title. No matter where it comes from, they will not even read your documents or your plan of studies to recognize your title.
Your options would be passing the federal exam as stated before (but there are restrictions for non-Euorpeans to sit it) or finding a dentist who is keen to hire you as an assistant-dentist.
