Practicing PTs: How Much of Your Work Do You Take Home?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Outpatient ortho...6 hrs of paperwork/computer but if there are cancellations then you can reduce that time.

I work M-Th, salaried from 7am to 6pm. But I generally show up at about 5:30am every day, sometimes leave at about 5:30pm.

none, ever. I may stay 30 minutes late on occasion, or arrive early if I have to leave to be somewhere after work. The more experience you have the more efficient you are with your documentation. NEVER let the documentation get more than 24 hours old before you complete it.

Absolutely none! Aside from reading journals and stuff related to PT, I think doing work away from the clinic is miserable and avoid it at any cost i.e. stay late to get it done. Outpatient clinic.

None. Its better to stay at the facility and complete it. I normally stay for 30 mins more than take it at home. Some times if you have family at home you might be accused of the confidentiality act of HIPPA. Be on the safer side.
