OK, the MCAT is finally over. honestly i dont even remember the questions at this point anymore, and how i did is completely a mystery, nor will talking about scoring curves, and the intricies of my test form ( and how other people screwed up as well) change my score other then increase the shock on that dreaded day in october, so i say no to buying into the curve and thinking i just did fine, sure ill hope for the best and prepare for the worst. And im not going to buy into sedation by dreaming about curves. This brings me to the question... since im going to school and i dont have the comfort of summer to study for the next mcat in april, when is too early to start studying for the april one? should i start in a couple of weeks? any tricks and tips from people who did it this way, just in case...
believe me its not like i think i got a 24... i was scoring 35 on the practice tests... but this one is beyond me.
so any advice how i should study for the mcat over the course of the next two months if or if i should do so at all? Any advice from people who were taking it for their second time or third time?

oh and definately going to be watching season two of house in some sort of an -OH induced frenzy...

i agree with you on most of what you've said bc I too have no idea how I did on this MCAT, but I don't think you should start studying until you get your scores back... I don't see how you can even start thinking about studying already! If you're planning on taking the April one if you did bad on this one then you have enough time to start studying later.

Ditto. I was scoring well on my PTs but am kinda iffy about my performance Saturday.
Here's what I figure: Chill out until scores come out.
If I am retaking, Mid October to January is enough time to brush back up on things and take enough practice items to be confident. Unless you'll forget all your prep in 60 days, it should be enough.

That's exactly what I'm thinking. If I need to retake, I'll mostly have to focus on verbal. I pretty much lost my summer to school and the MCAT. Hopefully I won't have to lose my winter break.

I was thinking about retaking it in January. When should I start studying again do you guys think???
