Pre-reqs and the MCAT

After all the debate and discussion on the MCAT and prereqs I have a question for those who have taken the MCAT. Do the med school prereqs prepare you for the MCAT?

I know that prep materials/classes are important, but what about the essential classes?

The prereqs are the MCAT. There is a forum for this. It's called MCAT.
