Guys, I'm broke, and NOVA just asked for $50 for the supplemental app fee. Just wondering if NOVA is worth it.

I've never been there but it sounds fun to be down there in FL. It's very expensive so I'm just wondering if it is all worth it to you guys who are enrolled at NOVA. Someone in the pre-dent forum just bashed NOVA for being worse than mediocre, that their hi-tech simulation systems don't work, and that it is very overcrowded with ~40 people fighting for non-existent dental chairs due to the sudden increase in international students. Nobody challenged the thread, so I assume it's at least partially true. Any takers? Please....

Thanks 🙂

no offense, but.. if you can't afford to apply, then you can't afford to attend.

jb!🙂

OK OK. I paid. Now...what are your thoughts regarding NOVA?

When you finish there, you will be called doctor...if it is the only school you get into, it is a good one

I could say that about any dental school 😉 Come'on.

Which is why I said it...just get in to a school, then worry about it.

As for Nova, if the complaints about the school are true, then you may want to push it on down your wish list...but an acceptance is an acceptance

They are called loans, most people get them because they can't afford to attend. I had to borrow money from family for the application, and when I put down my deposit, I was counting change, I understand the OP, the application process is really expensive, it will pay off.

My parents are just as broke as I am LOL. I might have to sell something valuable...except I don't have anything worth over 2k . Hopefully AADSAS will return some of my money soon.

I'm that "someone" from the predent forum. I'll post the link to the thread. http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=418107
My question to fellow dental students is if you face any of the same problems? If there is any current Nova students that feel differently or have anything else to add, I would love to hear from them also.
