Predict your April MCAT!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
32, based on average of Kaplan FL's 1-5 and AAMC 4-9.

I predict a 34-35. I'm consistant 31-33 on practice exams, but I feel that with the increased pressure I'll focus better.

EDIT:
After the exam I still will stick with my prediction. Furthermore 11-10-13. That form AG BS was great for me, not sure about you other guys.

I'm gonna hope for a 32. That's been my goal all along, and I did get it on one of my Kaplan tests.

yeah, I pulled a 33 on FL3. Since then 4 and 5 have been 29 and 30. no idea what to think.

Hoping for a 30🙂 but who knows...

I prorbobly need more considering I live in Ontario.... 🙂

I refuse to participate. Each time I predicted, it didn't come out like it was supposed to. So now I avoid predictions, and just count on good luck.

Predict your April MCAT:

I would say 28.

I was tempted to post a thread labeled, predict your fellow MCATers scores after the MCAT on Saturday!!!!!!

Only because I want to predict Jota, Lance, MasterMD, Oxeye, and Scentiments scores!!! :meanie: :meanie: :meanie:

28 probably 🙁

There isn't even a chance that you will score a 28!! I hope you're kidding. 🙂

I'm so superstitious that I won't participate in this thread. 😉 I have a pretty good feeling about what my absolute minimum score could be but there's no way I'm going to post it.

let's see...

this gives me a bad feeling, making predictions..

purely by statistics, however, i have scored between 37 and 38 on average fairly consistently between practice exams, with one 36 (i think), a few nail-biting 39s, and one 40 -- for real AAMCs. for Kaplan, although my diagnostic was low, I eventually got into fighting range of about 36-37... it was harder for me to break 13 on PS for Kaplan in particular, because the learning curve was killer.

So, I could spaz out and get mid to low 30s, or "zen" the test and break 40 once more, but all signs point to .... 37.

Man, I am going to regret doing that.

  you're so funny 🙂 i don't want to predict because i always end up letting myself down.... and who knows what difficulty the test will be ... i can say what i would LIKE to get... im wishing for a 13, 12, 12 🙂

Don't worry I'll keep my thoughts to myself until you guys get your real scores back so as not to jinx anyone. I'll just write it in my private corner and let you know the I told you so's when you get scores back in June. :meanie: :meanie: :meanie: 😉 😉 😛 😀

GOOD LUCK ALL!!!!!!

Anastasis: I don't think you can pull lower than low 30's even on your worse day based on your practice scores!

As for myself, my scores have been in the range of a low of 28 and a high of 34...so maybe a 30 would be a reasonble goal? I think Verbal is what is holding my scores back. If only I can somehow consistently get 10's or more in verbal I would be more confident of a 30+ score. Best of luck to everyone!

Anastasis said:
Realistically I'd say I could score anywhere from a 33 to a 37 - I'm thinking maybe a 35. but no jinxing me.

I won't say a word. But I will say I told you so when you report your score in June (just like gujuDoc!). 😀

Has anyone else dreamed about getting your scores?

i had one my most vivid and lucid dreams of all time

and i ended up with a 33 😍

i ended up breaking down crying in my dream from happiness cuz of all the studying crap that i went thru from my hairy friend called the MCAT

but yeah if i can even sniff a 33 i will kiss the first 21 people i see

that can be seen as a promise or threat

and seeing as i have now probably jinxed myself into like breaking my foot stepping out of my car on test day, 😱 im gonna go study some more

good luck all

I dreamed about those things postMCAT but not pre-MCAT. I dreamed I got a really really low score and it turned out to be much higher then my dream.

I also dreamed that a friend got a 33, but it was due to subconscious thoughts cuz I was thinkingo of this friend's friend that got a 31.

haha, i'm not making any predictions out loud, anyway. i don't think i'd even be able to predict AFTER the test!

and anastasis, there's no way you could score a 28 unless you fell asleep through half of a section. even then, it'd probably still be a 30. 🙂

yeah i want to score around a 30... but what am i going to score? about a 20 🙁
there's always next time for those that are underprepared

I'm not going to make any predictions until after the test. Whenever I try and predict my favorite sports teams' scores they lose, so I'm not saying anything about my score till after I've handed that thing in.

you only need about a 28. Heck, I got a 25 and still got in in MD school. I'm an ORM too.

I predict I will do better than my previous 27! I would die of happiness for anything 32 and over.

Last time: 10VR/8PS/9BS

According to the AAMC Interpretation Manual I have the following chances of staying the same or improving in each section:
60%/72%/77%
Pretty goods odds, no?

ive been doing a lot of practice tests and last week i did practice test 7 and got a 39 but yesterday i did practice test 8 and got a 34. maybe its true that at this point, every new thing you learn pushes something you already know out of your brain.

I had a frequently recurring dream the two months before the MCAT that I was going to get a 38R. Every single time, the score was the same, even though other details of the dream changed. The dreams continued after the test, too.

I wound up getting a 37P. It took me a minute to be ecstatic about it because I couldn't process that it was different from my dream.

ive been having really vivid dreams too for the past week or so... and i keep telling this guy... i cant pinpoint who it is but its like someone i really respect as a mentor-type .. that i did really well on the MCAT and i say what my score is and hes like OMG that is so great!!!! congratulations!!!

it makes me so happy 🙂

don't be scared guys, its OK,.

Just predict your grade before the test!

I dreamt of getting a 36. I vividly remember the dream. I was very happy.
In reality I expect anything from a 25-31. My last score was a 30. I have already signed up for the summer Kaplan review so I am not too worried, since I plan to retake it anyway.

i wanted to bump this to see if people wanna predict how they did post test. i would start it off but im too much of a chicken.

eh... i say 29...

Gosh, SO hard to say....two sections that felt too "easy" and one that totally left me wondering. I still think I might be in the running for a 30 though.

very little ability to predict, esp. with the challenging bs section managing to make an appearance in my test booklet...

You got the Tx advantage. We Texans and Floridians got it good with the med school admissions thing compared to other states. But I agree with the first sentence. Don't know how easy it would be though with a 25 if you are in a more competitive state.

OK, now that the real thing is over, I'll go ahead an make a prediction.....

For the Record, my scores on AAMC 7, 8, and 9 were (13, 10, 13), (14, 11, 13), and (14, 10, 14) respectively, so my average score on those was 37.3

On the real thing, I thought my PS was hard at the time, but looking back, I don't think I missed too many. Since I have never scored lower than a 12 on any PS section (I scored 12 only once) I doubt my score would be lower than a 12, but probably a 13 and maybe even a 14.

I felt good about the verbal, actually, but I have never scored higher than a 12 (and I scored 12 only once) and never lower than a 9 (only once.) I scored mostly 10s with an occasional 11. Since I had a good feeling about the verbal, I think I got an 11. MAYBE a 12, and maybe a 10.

The BS was the killer on my form, but I think I came up with good rationale for most of my answers. I never scored lower than an 11 on BS. Because of the difficulty of this BS, I don't think I scored the 14 that I scored above. Probably a 12, and hopefully a 13.

Therefore, my prediction is: PS: 13 +/- 1
VR: 11 +/- 1
BS: 12 +/- 1

(Which is a 36 +/- 3)

Hopefully, my prediction is right.....

Yes I predict you'll get at least a 35 or 36, possibly higher.

PS: 9-11
VR: 13-15
BS: 10-12

So, I suppose my range is 32 - 38. I think I'd be pleased with about a 34 or higher. I just started prepping a few weeks ago for this, with the presumption that I'd retake in August after much more studying. If I scored well enough so that I can apply early and stay in the running, great; if I scored well enough so that I don't even have to spend aother few months studying and waste another full day in August, even better.
