Last night, I had a funny dream. In my dream, I've finished medical school and just starting residency. I had to practice medicine in my current university parking lot. Then, a manager came and told me that I can only earn minimum wage per hour. I did not get angry. I thought it was ok because I am a doctor already with stethoscope and white coat. I was kinda happy with working on minimum wage.

Anyone had a premed dream?

Come on! Give yourself a break and free yourself from premed while sleeping 😛

lol! funny!

I once had a dream that they passed a law prohibiting Snowmen from attending medical school.

not a premed dream per se, but i have in the past dreamt of seeing heme being synthesized stepwise from its precursors after having studied it the night previous. scary part is that it was all accurate

I actually have weird paranoid dreams in which fellow premeds somehow prevent me from attending medical school.

Oh, but there was one very interesting dream. I was accepted to my dream school, but on the first day of class, everything was dark and empty. There was just me pacing down the long hall to class, feeling calm and peaceful, and wondering if everything really would be worthwhile. Hmmm. I actually really enjoyed that one!

I was at an interview where I had just got completely lost earlier, and I had just put my stuff down in a place nearby the admissions office and was getting ready to change into my suit when it started raining. For some reason the path between there and the place I was supposed to report didn't have a covered walkway, so I ran there as fast as I could through the rain and showed up late and in a terrible mess. Everyone was just staring at me!

Then I woke up. It was actually raining IRL, though. ^^

I had a dream where I was playing hide and seek inside the library, except, I think guns were involved in some way...

It's so hard to remember the details even a few days after you've had the dream! 😴

That's nothing. When I close my eyes, I see myself playing Tetris. And I'm fully awake. One thing's for sure. I'm saving a helluva lot of quarters doing it this way, and I certainly don't look like a nerd at an arcade.

Not really a premed dream, but before every semester, I seem to have a dream where it's the end of the semester and I realize I somehow completely forgot about a class I registered for and never went and consequently failed. And then I wake up in a panic. Neurotic and sad, I know

JustDance, you're not alone on that one.

I had a dream a few nights ago where I went to an interview and got asked questions like, "What is your favorite periodical about motorized forms of transportation?" Completely bizarre.

I often have dreams relating to my day/life. They always are a mix between the truth and outlandish stuff that would never happen.

That or Bejewelled. One summer in high school, I got hooked on internet games (those two in particular) and couldn't sleep because I would still play those games in my mind.

I play a lot of tetris as well. I just saw something not too long ago that says that tetris helps people to think more logically and makes them better problem solvers.

my dream last night didn't involve much imagery

i kept thinking "i have to interview at X" "interview at X is coming up" "I need to prepare for X interview".... "X"... "interview".....

what a good night's sleep.

Then I woke up and thought, Ok I have interview at X. Gotta stop obssessing over how interview at Y went and whether I'll get into Y.

My subconscious was telling me to move on.

buttt Y is my top choice

Being pre-med sucks. And then it all starts again come residency time.

I had a dream that the only school I was accepted to was my state school, which is a 20 min drive from my home. I was very happy to be admitted, but wondered why I had spent several months and thousands of dollars applying to and interviewing at other schools. I really had this dream last night.

6 months ago I dreamed that I had been accepted to a medial college in Dallas, which I thought was impressive considering I had not applied to any texas schools.

This is true, and also the description the other poster gave concerning tetris and seeing it in his mind is a syndrome the Soviets who made tetris also observed in addicted players. I forget the actual term for it, but some people have it so bad where during their waking life they see actual objects or buildings around them and how they would fit together and move as if they were tetris pieces, or see these objects as actual tetris pieces.
