i think it's the stereotype that bachelors are irresponsible jerks who are all about themselves. when you see a guy care for something small and defenseless (a new father) and not themselves, you immediately think that everything about them is admirable and sweet. just a thought... 🙂

It's not so much a matter of admirable or sweet as simply not shirking one's responsibilities. Just because I'm not dating Lydia's mom anymore doesn't give me carte blanche to ignore them. But thank you for saying what you did.

I think there may be something to what kirex said, but I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that plenty of guys do not feel like it is ok to have a so-called sensitive side. Personally I think it is a positive thing when guys show those kinds of feelings; it makes me think y'all are like human or something. 😉

She inherited her blue eyes from her mom. Sadly I have dark green eyes. 🙁

If you have it saved on your computer, click the "manage attachments" button towards the bottom of the page when you post a message. This will make it show up as a little thumbnail that people can click on. The preferable way, however, is to upload it somewhere online (facebook/flickr/tinypic). Then all you have to do is surround the URL of the pic with the IMG tags like this:

IMG]http://www.flickr.com/blahblahblah.jpg[/IMG]

and your image will show up full-szie in your post.

note: the leading [ was left off so that you could see what you're supposed to type w/o sdn trying to parse the link

I'm not speaking about myself personally but why is it important for them to get higher standards? Seems to me if they stuck with lower standards and truly thought someone that was say a 5 was a 8, they'd be all the more happier and much more likely to end up dating someone.
