Does knowing your premed prereqs really well and having a hard prof (but still getting an A) help a lot for the MCAT?

"not knowing your pre-reqs really well" would probably cause issues, I'd imagine.

Getting an A won't help if you don't absorb the material.

It's more important to learn the material and understand the concepts, IMO.

AND, even if you do all of that (and get an A on top of it) I'd still recommend some prep work - reviewing and learning the format of the test.
