Sooo, I'm thinking about re-taking the MCAT after my lousy 26Q (8P, 10V, 8B) which I studied for on my own using ExamKrackers (very good books, btw). I'm thinking I need help with the test-taking skills more than the actual content (so basically I'm looking to take lots of practice tests and get feedback on them). I am completely happy with my verbal score, but both the science scores have been stuck.

Anyone here with experience with TPR or Kaplan in the Columbus area? Since I know courses vary by region, I'm wondering if one is better than the other here. Or how about which program does more test-taking and science help?

Thanks in advance!

seriously? not one person on this thing took a prep course in columbus? really? no one from the largest university in the country is on sdn? or any of the other colleges in the area? truly?

then how about this question:
i covered content of the test pretty well on my own this summer when i took it, so i'm thinking that with review, i'll be good with content. maybe what killed me was strategy. so, is kaplan the way to go (despite it's ridiculous price) or does tpr also do some strategy?

i'll give it a shot. i took kaplan's course (not in columbus), and I liked their seletion of practice tests. i especially liked their topical tests (which are really har). i didn't like the course itself, the teachers, and especially the other students.

this was like 4 or 5 years ago, so it may have changed. i haven't taken tbr.
