pritzker admissions

I realize I already asked this yesterday, but no one responded: did any of you who got the Yes/Yes or even Yes/Unknown yesterday interview in late November?

Also, does anyone know how many committee meetings there are per month at Pritzker? Unless they have one every week, I'm guessing they either forgot to review my application this time around or decided to reject me (therefore the No next to "Final committee decision has been made."). Input from past applicants would also be much appreciated. I just kinda want to know what to expect, in case it's the worst-case scenario.

Don't worry yet! I got my Yes/Yes yesterday, but interviewed November 14th. They may not have gotten to you yet. I don't know how many committee meetings they have per month, but maybe if you call the admissions office they can tell you? Did you say you got the email saying you'd hear a decision by Feb 15th? I haven't heard of any rejections post-interview yet...just continued...

I just got my call today at about noon. I'm in!!!!!
 
I interviewed in mid-September and still have a Yes/Unknown...so I guess it's Feb 15 or Bust for me right?
 
No, you are deferred until the end of their rolling admissions. At that point they will probably accept a few more to fill out the class and then they will tell you your position, whether it's acceptance, waitlist, or rejection. That's the way I understand it anyways. I interviewed in Mid December and they told me they would review my file by the end of February.

Well, if I don't hear back from them by Feb 15, I will definitely call. A while after my interview in late November, I got an e-mail saying that I should know a decision by then. Pritzker isn't my top choice at the moment (I won't hear back from my top choice until mid-March), but I thought the school was great when I interviewed and would certainly like having the choice to go there. Anyway, hope my status page will change this coming week.

I just wanted to let you all know that I share a post office with Pritzker and got my admission packet (large thin envelope) yesterday in the mail. So those of you elsewhere who were evaluated last week should be getting yours early this week! :luck:

Hey guys! I'd just like to congratulate those of you who have been admitted to Pritzker - especially if you've decided to come! - and wish the best of luck to those of you still waiting. Pritzker is an amazing place, I love every minute of it, and I can't wait to share it with the newly minted members of the class of 2011. Mine changed to Yes/Unknown today. Poo. Hopefully I will get good news next week.
 
I was in the "you'll hear by the end of February" e-mail group, and I heard the good news today. 😍

Anyone know what the upcoming revisit dates are or any details?
 
Revisit dates are:

March 5
April 23
May 4
May 11

There is a dinner on the evening before the revisit days. They send out this info with your acceptance letter!!!

I also got an "Unknown" on my status page today. Is this more like a (1) "we didn't have time to get to you this week" or more like a (2) "we reviewed your application and didn't like it, but we'll look at it again later."

do you think they really look at continued candidates every week? i've been continued since november. but that could just mean i'm destined for the waitlist. has anyone with an unknown received a status change?
 
Wah, mine changed to Yes/Unknown. Guess I won't be going to Pritzker this fall.

Does anyone remember what email address Joni used to send the email saying that we'd know by 2/15? I can't seem to find it in my mailibox, so I now am confused as to whether or not I got it or just read about it here on SDN. Thanks 🙂.

Ahhh! I don't know. I had a fantastic interview day there. When I left I was literally glowing, 'cause I really dug everyone I met. I remember thinking, "this place turns out doctors who are the kind of doctor I want to be."

But I feel as excited about a few other schools... I have to sit down and really think about my options. I'll come talk to you all in the 2011 thread. 🙂

I interviewed in late November (11/30?), and they sent my group an e-mail in December letting us know they would be meeting on us late February (I got a decision 2/21). So it seems like the rate is about 9 - 12 weeks after your interview (accounting for holidays)?

That's as much as I can help, I'm afraid. You could always call and ask. I'm sure it wouldn't be detrimental to your app.

I interviewed in December, my status page changed on 2/22, and I just got my letter on Saturday. So I would guess that the January interviews aren't going to be notified for a little while. But monday_best is right. You should just call and ask.
 
since i am rarely privy to such info -i am excited to share.. i called today and learned that the committee is meeting today. good luck - hopefully we will hear about some status changes in the next day or so. :luck: :luck: :luck:

I interviewed 1/23....God I want to go here.... Crossing my fingers, and imagining what would happen if I got the call during a midterm :laugh:

i've been unknown for a couple of months now (since nov i think?!) -- and nothing has happened.

things will definitely start to move once the harvards, etc. send out their acceptances. but before then, i don't know...

does anyone else have any info?
 
I interviewed in December, and my status changed last night/today...

[Final Committee Decision has been Made: Yes]

were you an unknown status or had they not gotten to your file yet?
