hey this is my story

I started college at syracuse university as a pre medical student completing General Bio, General Chemistry, Calculus and Psychology.

Then I decided to transfer to Major in Business at New york University from which i graduated from.

With the lack of jobs at the time of graduation i decided to finish up my premed requirements at yet another different college. Completeing Physics and Orgo. However I recently started working in finance and am studying for the mcats at the same time.

the problem is I know that most applications are through a common application and recommendation service. I know that colleges put together a collaborative recommendation for thier students. What school should i get the recommendation from? My home school (NYU) or the others which i did not receive a degree from? Any advice. I have no idea. Has anyone else experienced the same thing? I have no intention of doing a post bach because I have already completed the courses with good grades. Thanks

Select the profs you want LORs from, any school, and have all the letters sent to NYU's pre-med office (assuming they compile them into your file and will put together the collaborative recommendation).
That way you end up with a diverse selection of LORs in the file and NYU, where you got your degree, will be able to pull from them all in writing the committee letter.
I'm assuming that the institution that has granted your degree is where the committee letter should come from, but the others on this forum will have to verify this.
My situation was similar, UCR, transfered to Skidmore College (wrote my committee letter), but took classes at Cal State Univ at Long Beach.
So Skidmore wrote my letter with letters from Skidmore, as I really took my courses there and didn't want other letters; if I had requested letters from my first school or CSULB, I would have had them sent to Skidmore.
Hope that clears things up for ya 😱 😀
