Problem Signing up for boards step I

Hi,

Are any of you guys are having trouble signing up for boards step I? Mainly if you still haven't received the ATT number from your school. Even after completing the sign up processes at Prometric?

I do not remember the ATT number coming from the schools when I signed up.

I am fairly certain you send your credit card info along with your first born child to the NBPME. After they confirm that it is truly the first born they will wait as long as they feel is necessary to send you an ATT number. Only after receiving this cryptic authorization number can you schedule your test.

The entire thing is a mixture of paper or fax and computer signup. Be prepared for the worst because some of my fellow classmates never received the ATT number, while others received invalid numbers.

Good luck traveling back to the pre internet era to sign up for your exam.

I wouldn't wait for Prometric to send you anything - just call them and ask for your ATT number over the phone. You'll be able to sign up for an exam site afterwards.

I have a question tho. Have any of you guys tried the new online prometric registration system? And have you had any troubles with it?

It worked last year when I did it and it worked for part 2 this year.

Was able to sign up today. System errored out over and over again, but I'm now $900 poorer.

Never received one either. Some classmates started saying "just try it now" and when I logged in I showed up as approved and able to request a facility/pay.

For some reason, this year no ATT number was required for us. Some of the students in my class registered location a week ago.

Ugh, what a pain....I'm super nervous now. Isn't the deadline on Friday....
