(Ans is picorna...and i do not understand y)
 
My guess is that because a picornavirus is an RNA virus and transformation is when bacteria take up DNA and incorporate it into their genome so RNA virus won't work. Retrovirus is RNA but RT enzyme takes it RNA-->DNA so transformation is possible once DNA is made.

ok if you go through the options closely you would understand why picorna is the right answer... all the viruses that are mentioned, can cause malignant tranformations in the body except picorna whose family members cause polio,commom cold etc

retrovirus= can cause T cell leukemia
herpesvirus= can cause kaposi sarcoma
hep b= can contribute to hepatocellular carcinoma
human papiloma virus= causes the notorious cervical cancer
