Professional way to flake an interview?

I have an interview at a relative new school soon, in which I messaged with Admissions a few times regarding an interview date... which now I won't be able to attend. (got into my #2 med school 🙂). Is there a nice/professional way of saying thank but no thanks after showing much enthusiasm on looking towards interviewing at said school? I just don't want to appear as a flake or that I don't care about their school. :/

Just say you accepted an offer to another medical school and as such need to cancel your interview.

They dont care...they have thousands of other applicants! Just email them with something short and thank them for their consideration.

I think they would rather scramble to fill your spot than have you not show up and be missing a person.

Or, even worse, you show up and eat their food, waste their time and then tell them that you are accepted at a different school.

Yep, cancel sooner than later. I know KCOM called me at the last minute and squeezed me in early in October, when I'd normally be interviewing right around now. I presume it's because someone cancelled and saw I was in driving distance.
