Hey, I just got an email about the annual Army GME Selection Board holding something called the Program Director's Student Reception Night at some hotel in VA on Dec 3rd. I was wondering if anybody has been to this before and knows if it's worth going out of your way (driving a couple hours in baltimore and DC rush hour) to attend.

I went to a couple of these hosted at USUHS while I was there and they weren't bad. It's just a chance to meet and greet. These are the people who sit in the room and make the decisions. A little face time couldn't hurt. I would go if I was an MSIII or MSIV. There is not much point in going earlier, as your plans may change and the program directors will not remember you.

Can Air Force and/or Navy HPSP's also go to this event?
