I know that i have started a previous thread on ranking the programs in nyc but what about ranking the programs in brooklyn or queens.

Another question when you look on IM programs mentioned on scutwork when you choose midatlantic region there are tons of programs there how do you know which ones are decent and which to stay away from.

any comments welcome.

ok these are the options.

1)maymonides, 2)Coney Island Hospital Program,
3)Flushing Hospital Medical Center Program,
4)New York Medical College (Brooklyn-Queens) Program,
5)North Shore University Hospital at Forest Hills Program,
6)Jamaica Hospital Program,
7)New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens/Cornell University Medical College Program

i hope that there are people who have any comments good or bad.

thanks

What do you know about Flushing, the reputation, area,? do you advise to live in the area around the Hospital,?......😎

Of these hospitals the most well known for training in Internal Medicine would be Maimonides and Coney Island. They have had well established programs for a long time. The NY Hosp of Queens has been up and coming recently.Flushing and Forest Hills are less known places.I would strongly suggest finding people who are currently in the program or recently out to get the full story.

how is maymonides in terms of cards fellowships

Maimonides has a reputation of getting residents into fellowships. They have a large, busy cards service with their own fellowship program.See if you can get a list from the dept of where their residents went and you would have better idea of what to expect.
