Yes, and they each have a separate NRMP number.
 
Yes. About half of the PC programs may not even be at the same hospital as their general categorical counterparts. Pay attention to this on your interview days. There are a few programs I can think of off the top of my head that have their PC program at a much more inferior hospital system.
 
The one I went to with both said that I could rank both programs but they would rank me based upon which I was a best fit for. I think it's a great opportunity if you want to do primary care.
