I've been told it's kosher to call a prometric site to find out about the screens, but I've called this one repeatedly, and every operator there tells me they can't give me the heads-up on whether the screens are flat or CRT.

Has anyone taken their test at the site in clarke, NJ (I think the site number is 5858)? Are the screens flat? If not, does anyone know a testing site near Staten Island that does have flat screens?

hey. i took the test there 2 weeks ago. the screens arent flat..although i dont know how that makes a difference. .Good Luck anyways!

CRT screens distort shapes - which is an impediment for things like angle-ranking.

I have a friend that took his MCAT there, and he was on a flat-screen. So I assume this is one of those places that has a mix of both types of screens.

It's not that close but the Brooklyn center had flat screens and I was allowed to touch the screen despite a huge "do not touch" sign. 🙂

I've now taken my exam here and I can confirm that site 5858 does have flat screens. Also, a *really* nice building; it's otherwise host to a number of banking, mortgage, and physician's offices.

Are you guys talking about the computer screen? Who cares what type of screen it is?

if theyre CRT they should definitely be changed its just unfair to have different applicants taking it on the different screens
