Several secondaries have a space to provide extra information that was not included in the AMCAS application. I was wondering if this was an appropriate space to address a summer course I took this summer (which was not included on my transcript) and my activities since AMCAS submission? Or is it advisable to leave this prompt blank and update with a letter further on in the process? Thanks!

Add it in the space and tell them to expect an update letter about it. Then send the update letter after you get the grade. Keep in mind most schools dont like to get to many update or letter of interest . Use them wisely.

Okay thanks! If I already have the grade for the course, should I send my schools an updated transcript? I know it's not going to be included in my AMCAS gpas-- but it might still help my application?

Schools never asked me for addition information... A couple did ask me for subtraction information though

I doubt one summer course will have much of an effect on your GPA. I'd save an update letter for something really big that happens after submitting your primary. (like getting a publication)

That, or a summation of your activities post-submission if you get waitlisted.
