Tried finding this in previous posts but coming up short...

Was hoping to get ones opinion on how many PSTP interview invites would be indicative of a good chance of matching. I have seen data for categorical IM showing diminishing returns after 7-8 interviews/ranks.

I am applying IM PSTP and indicating Hem/Onc. My question is again what would be a interview number in your experience that would be classified as relatively safe? I understand this is not ironclad, but was hoping to get some experienced opinions. Although I couldn't care less about program rank let's assume that the invites are a good mix of a few "Top 10" and then "Top 50" programs. I say this only because I make the assumption that the Top 10's may be tougher to crack into (thus requiring more invites).

Appreciate any advice sent my way and to the rest of the PSTP applicant pool.

OP, wondering if you matriculated into a PSTP and if you got any answers to this question!
