Hello everyone,
I am a second year medical student and I am interested in learning more about Psychiatric residencies. I am thinking about going into the field and I am just looking for some more information.
Is anyone familiar with the average board scores that residency programs usually look for? Also, how important are medical school grades (assuming all are pass or better) in the decision factor? And what should someone like me, a 2nd year medical student, be doing to better their chances at getting into a good program?
Lastly, I am from Pittsburgh and I would love to go back, but I haven't really been able to find out a lot about specific psychiatric residency programs. Does anyone have any info to offer?
Thanks so much; have a great weekend!
