1) Great opportunity for Adult and Adolescent general Psychiatrist in a quaint town only twenty five minutes from Baltimore. Join a team of 3 Psychiatrists (including new Psychiatrist) covering a 20 bed inpatient unit , and seeing patients on an outpatient basis. ADC 17 patients. Unit admits approx 1600 patients a year with average length of stay of four days. After hours nurses cover the unit. Call is 1:3 usually by phone. Physician on call covers consults by phone. Weekend call is 1:6. Hospitalists assist with admissions after hours. ECT skills preferred. The position will be employed with generous base salary, and benefits with sign on bonus, and relocation. Opportunity is located in beautiful suburban location allowing for great quality of life, good schools, and no traffic hassles. You can be in the city within 20 minutes. Some physicians live in Baltimore and commute to the hospital.
2) Psychiatric Medical Director sought to oversee a 10-bed Adult inpatient unit, an active outpatient day treatment program and a small private practice. Duties are primarily clinical with minimal administrative responsibilities or committee appointments. We are a Medically Underserved for behavioral health and thereby the successful candidate will be eligible for substantial student loan forgiveness. Planning is on the way for a 6 to 8 inpatient bed expansion in the next 18 months. There is reasonable call schedule to be shared with two other Psychiatrist and consultations within the hospital from the Hospitalist. Located on the Chesapeake Bay halfway between Washington DC and Virginia Beach. Best described as a waterfront resort community with golf courses, country clubs, yacht clubs and marinas. The largest industry is seafood fish, crabs and oysters. Water everywhere!
