Have you guys ever heard of psychiatrists working in the area of neural networking, artificial intelligence, robotics, etc?

I realize these are not medical in nature. I was only curious because I enjoy some psychology as well and have seen a few psych residencies offer the chance to do psychology research while completing residency.

Any thoughts?

Check out Arnold Mandell (Emory) and Martin Paulus (UCSD). I think they're both more interested in nonlinear dynamical systems than neural networks per se, but it seems to me that they do have a pretty strong background in neural networks.

If you have any interest in psychodynamic psychotherapy, Drew Westen (Emory) has published a couple papers in psychoanalytic journals about neural networks. Don't have the references off-hand.
