I was wondering if people could post their favorite books relating to therapeutic interventions for psychotic disorders. I am craving a deeper dive on the subject and wondering if people have any recommendations. Thanks!

Some of the classics have been mentioned (Turkington). There is a new one that is really great too: Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy for Serious Mental Health Conditions by Beck, Grant, Inverso, Brinen, and Perivoliotis.

I have heard that this is a great book for patients and family to read and I really need to read it. Dr. Saks spoke at my doctoral graduation and was one of the most personally impactful graduation speeches I have ever heard. Actually, the only impactful graduation speech I have heard so kind of a low bar 😉, but still something that helps me to continue to see the person and potential behind the symptoms and illness and also to share with patients about how to adjust to life with the illness.

I have received training in the CT-R paradigm from Aaron Brinen intermittently over the past two years, definitely solid. I also have experience implementing this in an inpatient setting : ACT for Psychosis Recovery - ACT for Psychosis Recovery

My residency completion certificate might actually be revoked if I don't mention Hogarty's Personal Therapy for Schizophrenia and Related Disorders.
